Elk Dog Coffee – Top-Rated Organic Coffee and Dog-Friendly Spot in Austin

Elk Dog Coffee is hands down the best coffee in Austin. The lattes are always the perfect espresso-to-milk ratio — just the right balance to get me perfectly caffeinated without being too heavy. I’m so happy to support Dwight and his small business. Keep up the great work! Also, my dog Fern gives five stars for the pup cups (photo proof attached, mid-lick ).

Such a nice spot to grab a delicious coffee or matcha drink. I appreciate the organic, clean ingredients used. I don’t like super sweet drinks so they do a great job with that too! This has become a regular pit stop for me.

I am so happy Elk Dog popped up down south. By far my favorite coffee and matcha. I love all of the drink specials (not overly sweet like a lot of places) and they use all organic ingredients! The staff is friendly and the covered picnic tables are a great dog-friendly spot to sit and enjoy your coffee. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for high quality coffee in south Austin!

Tried the vanilla latte with cold foam and omg so good! Creamy, smooth, and not too sweet! right in my latte Goldilocks zone. You can tell they put love into what they do. Highly recommend stopping by this coffee truck if you get the chance!

I stopped here today while I was waiting around in the area. Googled "coffee near me" and it was 2 mi away, saw the reviews, and decided to check it out. The gentleman working the stand was very nice and suggested trying The Salty Elk Dog. I was going to order 1/2 sweet, but I asked if it was sweet and he said they don't make their drinks as sweet as other spots, so I ordered as-is. Salty drinks kind of scare me b/c I worry it may be too salty but let me tell you, this drink was so well balanced and delicious! It had a little whipped cream/cold foam/soft cap, whatever you want to call it. I hate that it's so far from where I live but if I'm ever in the area again, I will be sure to stop. Also want to note how cute the shop is and how cool the logos/signage is. Def recommend you check it out. :)

My first time here.. I had the Salty Elk Dog Latte and it was delicious, it was balanced/not too sweet. Would come back and try their other specialty drinks.. highly recommended!

Had to try out this coffee trailer, and very glad I did. The aesthetics got me for sure. The service was warm and friendly. The coffee was a definite 10/10, so freaking delicious. I ordered an iced oat milk Barton bee with a pinch of sea salt and YUUUM. I’ll definitely be back.
